Tony Benton (Consultant)
Tony is an independent management consultant with extensive experience of working with local authorities and the NHS. He assists organisations with performance improvement, strategic planning and organisational development. He has a particular interest in the use of partnership approaches to modernising social care services.
Tony was a Service Inspector with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and responsible for leading inspections of children's and adult services. He has also held senior operational and strategic management positions in local authorities, managing a wider range of adult services.
He has a facilitative approach that builds on the confidence and competence of the people he works with. He promotes their ownership of change and works in partnership with a wide range of staff in organisations
He believes passionately in promoting a businesslike approach to public services. He has an MBA and MA in Change Management.
