What is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) tool?

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator® tool is the most widely used personality assessment tool, administering as many as 2 million simple questionnaires annually to individuals. Today it can be taken electronically or with pen and paper, is available in 21 languages and has a wide range of learning and development applications including improving individual and team performance, explore careers and reduce workplace conflict.

There are two steps: the MBTI Step I^TM tool will identify an individual's psychological type according to four basic preferences and provide a common language to understand how they interact with the world and other people; the MBTI Step II^TM tool explores how an individual expresses their preferences - by increasing self-awareness, this insightful tool can constructively help both individual and group development, demonstrating that workplace differences needn't create friction.
